I like to tell stories about Snowdonia through writing articles for magazines, recording and editing packages for BBC Radio Wales and giving illustrated talks to students and societies. My first book, Not Just a Pretty Place – Survival in Snowdonia, was published in 2009 by Carreg Gwalch.
I am the marketing manager for Natur Cymru, the magazine that flies the flag for the wildlife and environment of Wales, and a member of the Advisory Group of Plas Tan y Bwlch, the Snowdonia National Park’s Training Centre.
Born in Montgomeryshire in 1954 I went to university in Aberystwyth. After graduating in law I joined a large IT company living and working in Malawi, Russia, Croatia and Czech Republic. In 2004 I moved back to Wales with my family where we live in an ancient house overlooking the Vale of Ffestiniog. My occupations include being honorary stationmaster of Campbell’s Platform, which is a private halt serving the house.
